borrowed haven

greetings!

Web 1

hi everyone, welcome to my internet home. imagine you're visiting my place and the first thing you're aware of is that you need to get in through the front door. this is no different: this landing page is also the (digital) door!

home is a safe place to stay and where we appear and act as who we truly are. this is also how i'm gonna treat this personal website: a place to express and share my thoughts and stories in all genuineness that they are. like a diary, but less personal. like a website, but slightly more personal. tricky, i know. if you've ever read my previous writings before, you'd probably know. since i've always been more familiar with blogs, i think it's safer to just classify this as one. a log book, kind of? a record of life. a reborn version, yeah, considering how many times i've moved places from one platform to another.

why borrowed haven?

there's this one song that i really love: summer sunshine, by the corrs. the verse of the song sounds like this:

"in coffee city, we borrowed heaven."

'borrowed heaven' has been an intriguing phrase for me, and i kind of like how it sounds desperate and hopeful at the same time. it's so sad that someone already took the whole phrase for a website and i had to take away that one 'e'—and so it translates to another whole new meaning, but i like it. consider this as a haven: a sanctuary, a shelter, a place with halcyon atmosphere where you feel nothing but peace.

hope you enjoy your stay and please leave some footprints!

with love from the coffee city,
tari
